Hello world! Things have begun to cool down (not the weather outside tho) ,so I will probably start writing some more KWN. You ready?

-Wolfram Sang has a pull request for -rc2 concerning i2c-embedded :

here is a pull request which only contains one new driver which had
multiple dependencies (pinctrl, i2c-mux-rework, new devm_* functions),
so I decided to wait for rc1. Plus, it had to wait a little for the ack
of a devicetree-maintainer since the bindings were not trivial enough
for me to pass through. So, given that, I hope there is still something
like the “new driver rule”, so we could have the driver in 3.5 and
people can start using it. That would make merging support for some
boards easier for 3.6 since the dependency on this driver is gone then.

-Neil Brown has md fixes for -rc*, Gustavo Padovan updates bluetooth,
Artem Bityutskiy has a small pull request for UBI/{,FS}, Len Brown of
Intel has ACPI and PM patches and Ted Ts’o has ext4 bug fixes , aimed at
-rc2.

-Ingo Molnar has scheduler fixes, Dave Airlie has fixes for DRM (Intel and Exynos),
and…and…AND….

-Linus Torvalds announces -rc2:

Ok, it’s been only 6 days, but as noted earlier I’m going to be
traveling starting tomorrow, and I wanted to make the -rc2 release
before I left.

I’ll have internet access, but looking at my schedule I probably won’t
have much time, so you might as well consider me MIA for a week. If
it’s not really critical, don’t bother asking me to pull, in other
words. Think of it as one of those weeks when I try to be hardnosed
about things, and get bitchy when people send me irrelevant small
stuff that isn’t some major oops-fix.

That said, I think -rc2 is in fairly good shape, and I’ve been trying
to fairly aggressively revert things that caused problems (and
sometimes things that were only *suspected* to be the cause of
problems).

We have the usual assortment of fixes: drivers (gpu, i2c, acpi,
clocksource), architectures (mostly x86 perf, but some trivial powerpc
and parsic stuff), filesystems (fuse, cifs, ext4, ubifs) along with VM
updates and some documentation updates. And timer, irq and scheduler
fixes.

Go forth and test,
Linus

-That’s it for now, perhaps the format will change from weekly to “whenever I have time for it, a few times a week”. And I need some feedback on this ,so please, leave comments, e-mails, and so forth.
